I have been a resident of Blackstone at Vistancia since 2013. My wife Gina and I selected Blackstone because of the beautiful desert mountain and golf course views, quality homes, and the privacy Blackstone offers. What we have grown to enjoy most of all are the neighbors and friendships we have made over the years.
I am prepared to make an active and positive contribution to the future decisions of our community. I have served on the Blackstone Advisory Committee since its inception in 2016 and have observed and participated in a wide range of training sessions to learn about community management. One of the most important takeaways is that communication between residents and management plays a vitally important role in the success of our community.
My professional background also provided me with experience. I graduated from Pharmacy school in 1982, followed by Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and a residency program in Philadelphia. I was a podiatric surgeon in the west Valley for 30 years until back surgery cut my career short a few years ago. During my years in practice I sat on several Boards. One included forming a medical multi-specialty group Valley wide; initially involving 20 physician members and growing to more than 100 physicians. Presently, I perform investigations for the Arizona State Board of Podiatry.
My wife and I relocated to Arizona in 1988. We have a son and daughter who are now adults and out on their own. During their childhood, I was involved in our community and coached young soccer players the game (but tiring them out for the parents).
My hopes for this transition at Blackstone are to have a quality Board freely interacting with the community. I promise to always be available to listen, communicate, and improve on the wonderful life we have in this community.
