Guest Access

When a visitor arrives, the Gate Host checks if they’re on the approved list and, if authorized for access, lets them through the gate. If the visitor is not in the system, the Gate Host must contact the resident to seek approval prior to allowing entry. The Gate Host uses phone numbers listed on the account to attempt contact. Should they be unsuccessful, the visitor may be turned away and instructed to contact the resident.

Residents can add visitors using ABDI’s Gate Access app at any time. Access for visitors can be granted for one day, a specific duration or permanently. Frequent and recurring visitors, such as house cleaners, pool servicers, landscapers, etc., are often designated as permanent, but residents can rescind approval at any time.
