Blackstone at Vistancia is a gated community limiting access to guests approved by residents. All visitors, including friends, family, service providers, delivery services, etc., are expected to have access authorization prior to their arrival. Please note: The secondary resident entry gate at Sunrise Point is not intended for use by guests or visitors.
The gatehouse is staffed from 6 a.m.-10 p.m. by a Gate Host who verifies visitors using ABDi’s GateAccess system. GateAccess allows residents to access their homeowner account directly from a computer (using ABDi’s website) or a smartphone/tablet (using ABDi’s GateAccess app).
Residents can add visitors at any time. Access for visitors can be granted for one day, a specific duration or permanently. Frequent and recurring visitors, such as house cleaners, pool servicers, landscapers, etc., are often designated as permanent, but residents can rescind approval at any time.
When a visitor arrives, the Gate Host checks if they’re on the approved list and, if authorized for access, lets them through the gate. If the visitor is not in the system, the Gate Host must contact the resident to seek approval prior to allowing entry. The Gate Host uses phone numbers listed on the account to attempt contact. Should they be unsuccessful, the visitor may be turned away and instructed to contact the resident.
Along with the gate host, each homeowner receives a personal emergency after-hour code. This four-digit emergency gate access code is used from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. when a gate host is not on duty. This code is used to ensure that residents can enter Blackstone if the gate house is unmanned and do not have their gate entry device available. The code cannot be changed and will not work during daytime hours when Gate Hosts are on duty.
